Subject to the terms of this Agreement and upon purchase of a valid product key, you are granted a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to install and use the Software on a single device owned or controlled by you, solely for your personal or internal business purposes.
A valid product key is required to activate and use the Software. Each product key is licensed to a single user and a single device. You may not share, sell, sublicense, or transfer your product key to any third party. Tampering with, bypassing, or circumventing the activation mechanism is strictly prohibited and will result in immediate license termination.
If you replace your primary device or experience a hardware failure that prevents deactivation, you may request a license transfer by contacting license@betterbudgetapp.com with:
If possible, deactivate the Software via the Preferences panel before changing hardware to release the license immediately. License transfers are permitted for legitimate hardware changes only. Abuse of the transfer process will result in permanent license revocation without refund.

The Software and all copies thereof are proprietary to BetterBudget and title thereto remains in BetterBudget. All rights in the Software not specifically granted in this Agreement are reserved to BetterBudget. The Software is protected by copyright laws and international treaty provisions.
The Software stores all financial data locally on your device. BetterBudget does not collect, transmit, or have access to any personal financial data you enter into the Software. The Software may connect to public third-party market data services (e.g., Yahoo Finance) to fetch publicly available stock price data; no personal data is transmitted in this process. The Software is a personal finance organization tool only. It does not constitute financial, investment, legal, or tax advice. Investment values displayed are sourced from public market data and may be delayed or inaccurate. You are solely responsible for all financial decisions made using the Software.
The Software is provided “as is” and “as available” without warranty of any kind, express or implied, including but not limited to the warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and noninfringement. BetterBudget does not warrant that the Software will be uninterrupted, error-free, or free of harmful components.
In no event shall BetterBudget be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, including but not limited to loss of profits, data, or business opportunities, arising out of or in connection with this Agreement or the use of the Software, even if BetterBudget has been advised of the possibility of such damages.
In no event shall BetterBudget's total liability exceed the amount you paid for the Software license.
This Agreement is effective until terminated. Your rights under this Agreement will terminate automatically without notice if you fail to comply with any of its terms. Upon termination, you must cease all use of the Software and destroy all copies in your possession.
BetterBudget reserves the right to revoke your product key and terminate your license at any time if a violation of this Agreement is detected.
BetterBudget may, at its sole discretion, provide updates, patches, or new versions of the Software. This Agreement applies to all such updates unless a separate agreement accompanies them. BetterBudget is under no obligation to provide updates or continued support.
This Agreement shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the Commonwealth of Kentucky, United States, without regard to its conflict of law provisions. Any disputes arising under this Agreement shall be resolved in the state or federal courts located in Kentucky.
If any provision of this Agreement is found to be unenforceable or invalid, that provision shall be limited or eliminated to the minimum extent necessary so that this Agreement shall otherwise remain in full force and effect.
This Agreement, together with the BetterBudget Privacy Policy, Terms of Service, and Refund Policy, constitutes the entire agreement between you and BetterBudget regarding the Software and supersedes all prior agreements and understandings, whether written or oral.
